Raising deductibles is the big push these days. I have $10,000 deductible.


The original idea of insurance was to help with a catastrophic loss.

The problem these days is so many folks filing small claims (couple thousand dollars). That is expensive for the insurance company to administer.
Raise the deductible as high as you can afford to cover.
And it really does make a difference in the annual premiums.
