Before The C-Word, things were great. Would we be in the same spot today had it not happened? Honestly I doubt it, but I guess anything could happen. It took all the joy out of training and competing, and made it nothing but a grind. My daughter danced with a ballet company but they shut everything down as well and she left for another that went early back to in class instruction.

Summer league "virtual" meets are going to be an absolute joke. No joy, no camaraderie, just swim.

Kids, in particular teens, need that affirmation and bonding they get from their peers. Being homeschoolers before homeschooling was cool, this was their socialization and peer interaction time, among other activities. The C-Word stripped that away from all of them and this is the result.

So, how did you encourage and support your boys though that rough spot?
