Once enough schools announce that they are leaving the ACC as soon as the GOR expires, other schools with options will look for similar deals. When the required voting majority has secured post-GOR deals, they will simply vote to dissolve the conference immediately.
The conference could effectively dissolve in a matter of weeks if, for example, Clemson, North Carolina, or some other cornerstone school announced its intention to bolt.
VT should be out in front on this. We are much more valuable to the SEC to the ACC in any case. How would the SEC like a VT-hosted opener at FedEx Field?
