When I was in HS I had started to develop my offensive scheme

kinda on a dare of some of my friends. Technically my offense is a balanced-pass first scheme with a heavy influence of spread concepts. I would say Mouse Davis, father of the run-n-shoot, is probably my biggest influence on my scheme. Basically my scheme is designed to blitzkrieg opposing defenses. Not so much from a scoring standpoint, but that is always an added bonus, but in terms of the point of attack. The pass plays use a wide variety of route combinations and reads where 1, 2, or even 3 receivers run specific routes to create an opening for the primary target which is often the 4th or 5th option in a QB's read.

The running game is power base that incorporates 2 TE sets and even a FB. Hence why my scheme isn't a true spread scheme. Since the offense is primarily a hurry up/no huddle with very little substitution, the idea is to use the 1st half to tire out the opposing defense. Then rely on the power running game (still no huddle and very little substitution) to break the defense's spirit and ground them to a pulp. Now that isn't to say I still won't use short, quick passes as a form of the running game. Whether a RB gains 4 yard on a play or a WR gains 4 yards on a play, it is all the same to me.
