That is a totally emotional response devoid of facts.

Jack Swarbrick did not know about the SEC/ Texas/Oklahoma deal.

Please provide some facts that prove, more probably than not, that he knew about it, cared about it and actively "conspired" with the SEC to "dupe" anyone.

This was merely an exploratory/advisory committee selected by the conferences to come up with proposals, not a military junta with power to impose anything on intelligent, sophisticated parties such as the other conferences, their officials, experts, consultants and legal counsel.

Did he want the most chances at a playoff sport so ND can remain independent indefinitely, sure. That is his job as ND's AD.

Even if he did know about the SEC, which he did not, so what?

ND should have fired him on the spot if he supported any proposal that hurt ND's interests and football independence, such as automatic bids for conferences.

What do you think the other conferences expected Swarbrick to support when they selected him to that committee ?

Do you think that they expected him to cut ND's throat in order to favor the ACC, Big Ten and Pac 12?

This is no different than having Jim Phillips on the panel trying to secure an automatic playoff bid for the ACC.

Would that make Phillips someone trying to "dupe" anyone?

What would your take be if Whit Babcock was on the panel trying to get the best deal for Virginia Tech and the ACC?

Would you accuse him of evil, nefarious conduct?

Conspiracy theories are usually outside the realm of reason and logic, and fall apart when facts are required.
