Anti-trust issues aside, the problem is not the autobids.

The problem is the at large slots. If those are limited to +1 max from each league, then this would be fine. I don't think it does, however. The main problem with 12 is that it would give the SEC the potential to have 6 more teams in the playoffs. That should be a hard non-starter to the Alliance.

Also, I like the idea of working in the traditional top bowls. Let the Rose (and Orange, Sugar, and Fiesta/Cotton) run a quarterfinal.
