Somewhat extreme, but I get what you are saying
My only problem with all of this is the notion that scholarships are worthless. The vast majority of these athletes are not going pro. There are plenty of examples of past student athletes that have used their degrees to go on to very lucrative professional careers outside of athletics. Their scholarships were anything but worthless and they are not drowning in the student loan debt of their non-athlete counterparts. Did they earn the money? Absolutely. But, let's not act like they received nothing for playing and representing the university.
Should they be able to capitalize on their NIL? Yes to that as well
