If ND goes 12-0 and all of the other 5 champions are 10-3.

Then I think ND would be part of the 4 in the playoff. I also think that is less than 1% probability of taking place. There is a possibility of that, but it is very small.

I think that there is a better probability of a 11-2 Notre Dame who won a conference championship game getting in than your scenario happening.

The issue with the committee is that there isn't an advocate for Notre Dame on it. All of the conferences have advocates, and there is too much money involved for more than 1 of the P5 to be left out. I'm looking at the political position Jeff Long and all his committee members are put in. They won't admit to what they are under peer pressure to do, but I believe we will all see them follow that pattern.

Now Notre Dame won't be convinced that it will not be in their benefit to be on the outside until they have a season good enough to test all of this. I can understand that so I'm not in favor of pushing Notre Dame to do anything. But at the same time there are things I want the ACC to do regarding our scheduling.
