ND would have to figure out how to beat FSU and Clemson like the rest of us

Right now to win the ACC that's what you have to do. So no I don't think ND would waltz to ACC championships every year. The league has some very good teams in it to overcome.

I don't necessarily think joining the ACC would make Notre Dame a better team. Notre Dame is already 5/8 in the ACC playing every ACC member once per 3 years. So it would be more of the same in that regard.

One benefit I could see is it would make the job of the Notre Dame coaches a little easier because today Notre Dame is playing all different styles of football with the diversity of their schedule. Joining one league allows the coaches to hone in on the styles of more frequently scheduled opponents and cut down on some of the complexity that they have to prepare for. Fans won't care so much, but the coaches might.
