Again, its easy for them to make that claim while they have steady

cash flow. They may not care if they get BIG money, but they will want to compete. IF the lack of access to the playoff begins to take a toll on their ability to recruit, which takes a toll on ability to win, which causes a decrease in interest, which causes a decrease in NBC's desire to pay them, which causes them to not be able to afford coaches, then they may begin to change their tune WRT caring about money.
They ,ay not care about money they say but they do care about winning. Thats why they fire and hire coaches almost as often as Bama did between Bryant and Saban.
