GOR have been renewed to 2036.
All the ACC needs is for a few of the Coastal Division football programs to improve to the level of Clemson/FSU and now Louisville, and the ACC's football cache would compete with the SEC. If this happens the football or bust requirement relaxes.
The Big Ten was in position to add non football schools to capture northeastern markets, New Jersey and Maryland, for its television network. The ACC could do the same with Connecticut. UConn has much stronger fan support and interest in Connecticut than Rutgers has in New Jersey. BC and Syracuse do not get coverage in Connecticut. They do in their respective states instead.
The question to be asked is do they get coverage in New York City. Being a featured program for SNY sports network assures it for UConn.
