If the ACC did decide to sponsor hockey, then there is a good chance


that every province in Canada will want access to the network (if they already don't have it). As far as the rest of the US goes, it would increase the odds that consumers in the Midwest and Western states have the ACCN because of where the bulk of the NA recruits are coming from.

As far as expansion schools goes, the ACC could add UConn. However, that may not really add any new markets if BC and/or Notre Dame hockey is already being televised throughout the New England states. A more logical choice may be to add AL-Huntsville because it would give the ACCN access to the Gulf Coast states which could be more beneficial to the more popular sports.
