Hogwash

on the breakfast thing. (My opinion). I’ve been doing IF since 1/6/20. Started off doing 20/4 with a 4:00-8:00 eating window- I never was much for breakfast therefore all I needed to do was wait a little past lunchtime and it was easy. Not eating breakfast gives me more energy and my mind is sharp. Tons written about this.

But what I found in the process was that once I ate I wasn’t hungry anymore and found myself doing OMAD.

The KEY to a successful fast is not to break it by drinking something other than water, black coffee, or black tea. Even sugar-free gum will release insulin and break your fast.

Since doing this I now sleep through the night w/o getting up to pee. All inflammation is gone. Sleep apnea gone. More energy. No naps even needed. No acid reflux. No indigestion. I don’t get sick. I could go on.

I started by reading Delay, Don’t Deny by Gin Stevens. She has a good blog with a bunch of testimonials.

To answer your question- I typically eat anywhere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. It doesn’t really matter since I’m only eating once. So I’m fasting about 23.5 hours a day and it’s not a struggle. It’s quite liberating and saves me a bunch of time and money.

During holidays or vacation I will go to a 16/8 window but I find that eating that first meal can make me a little tired so I go real light for lunch.

Not sure this is what you’re looking for but that’s my story.
