I relate food vs exercise to "flying concepts."


They teach that throttle controls altitude, and stick (nose) position determines airspeed.

With that in mind, I consider exercise the primary factor in fitness, and diet controls our weight (gain or loss).

The people who just say fat people need to exercise more are misguided. You can lose weight if you workout like a mad man, but you'll put that weight back on once you aren't able to work out due to injury, work, etc.

But if you adjust your diet, you can continue losing weight no matter your level of exercise.

When I go "on program," I normally drop 2-2.5 lbs/week, and I don't feel hungry.
