I don't know. Doesn't bother me.


I look at it like Notre Dame is punishing its football players from being able to compete for conference championships when national championships are extremely rare. They can ruin a season in September with a loss and have nothing for motivation.

I also don't think not being showcased in early December when the college football world is watching the conference championships takes Notre Dame out of the minds of college football fans and diminishes the brand.

I'm fine with Notre Dame continuing in its current arrangement as long as the ACC isn't impeded from moving forward with better scheduling than what can be done with 2 divisions of 7 teams. I don't want to see the ACC decline to move on good candidates because the ACC is waiting on Notre Dame for anything. The one or two extra ND v ACC games every other year won't be much more beneficial than what is in the current arrangement. While many think it doesn't cost Notre Dame a lot to add the 3 games, the ACC doesn't get much more for receiving them either when half of them would be with NBC. Perhaps the ACC could get some better ratings for the Championship Game, but it's rated very well as it is.
