Swofford has been an adequate commissioner, but nothing I'd consider great
Swofford was adept and did what he needed to do, but often took too long or seemed a day late and a dollar short. He often was forced to make decisions: like accepting Tech and accepting Louisville (which I still question to this day). FSU and UNC play the puppetmaster and sway his thinking too much to consider him as a fair and objective decision-maker.
Since 2003, his best move was adding Tech and his worse was not having the pulse on UMCP and watching them leave the ACC behind.
I hope the next commissioner is non-ACC affiliated with a business-like acumen. Possibly an Ivy League background.
