How can ACC soccer capitalize on all of this soccer craze?

Soccer was never a big fan favorite in this country when I was in school in the 80s, but with this upward trend happening today the ACC should work with ESPN to cash in some because with the 12 member men's soccer league, the ACC is tops in college soccer as a conference. The PAC12 has the second best league with only 6 members and the latest champion. The Big Ten has 9 members, but only Indiana does much. The SEC and Big XII don't even have the sport in men's. ESPN should push a bit on what the ACC's good at for a change.

ESPN/Fox are paying MLS $75 million per year for TV with Univision $15 million. I see this $155 million soccer stadium opening in Orlando today. Then MLS announced it was adding 6 new cities soon increasing from 22 to 28. They have at least 10 candidates. Some are in the ACC footprint. NBC is showing English Premier League. There seems to be a buzz, and the ACC is a great college level conference. The millennials are a target audience for soccer these days. With the New ACC network perhaps ESPN could promote college soccer more? It's not football yet, but hey, ride the wave.
