I get that, but if P4 starts working together, compromises will be made.
The SEC would have to add a couple of programs that are less than ideal for them. But if it is required, they could do worse than adding a new state in Oklahoma or an additional Texas school. Perhaps they go after one of the Kansas schools?
What I'm suggesting is that now that we know the ACC will be intact and where ND will find its home, there's much less reasons for the P4 to not work together. In fact, if they do break away, there's going to be a ton of collaboration involved in that move alone.
They've already worked together on things like the BCS, the Playoffs, and the Cost of Attendance decision. And they've made billions.
The rational thing will be to actually look at a map when the Big12 begins to be divvied up.
