With a network coming the ACC needs both.
We need new markets, and we need those in the new market to buy the product. WVU does that in West Virginia and in Western Maryland. Some would argue Western Pennsylvania supports WVU as well. The ACC already has Pitt, so that would just double down on that market.
And a third thing to consider is ticket sales. I think WVU fans would buy football tickets in Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Louisville, Charlottesville, and Blacksburg. I think they would potentially do the same in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham, and Winston-Salem. Ticket sales are important too for all of these stadiums.
