The current model is 10-15 yrs old. Already changed.
Furthermore, there are plenty of instances in which the model hasn't proven to be the best model. The entire poor state, low population state, rural college town SEC proves it wrong. Even if they are growing, nobody in their right minds would think that dumphole known as Alabama should be massively more profitable than the entire state of New York. But that's the reality in the college sports game.
And of course, there's BC, which has done nothing to claim Boston for the ACC. And even if it did, the college athletics pie for Boston is very small.
