BC was the one against.
With FSU, they were not so much against as there were other choices available that FSU preferred over UConn, namely Pittsburgh and Louisville.
Syracuse was always a given. The ACC had been trying to add Syracuse since the 1980s.
Today with FSU consistently in the top 5 for football, they may not have much objection to UConn if we have another round of additions. Playing UConn occasionally would not drag them down. I don't know what BC would do now.
