I think some of the traditional perspectives will be different this time
In order to collapse the P5 into a P4, and thereby force a 4 CCG winner to CFP scenario the following will happen:
1. Conferences will back off of some, but not all, of their traditional academic profiles.
2. ACC is more likely to take UConn than WVu.
3. WVu to B10 or SEC more likely than ACC.
4. ND will join ACC in FB IF, and only if, winning a CCG is a prereq to CFP.
Having experienced the fear of being left behind, I hope that none of the existing P5 schools are left behind. Can't say that fro those outside they existing P5.
