If the ACC looks at the pod options, then it will discover
the pods brings its own set of problems. Most likely the ACC would want to go with the zipper model for the pods to make sure each pod has 1 school from the southeast region since that is the most important region for recruiting purposes. Also, if the ACC is the only power conference with rotating divisions while the other 3 power conferences (Big Ten, Pac-16, and SEC) opt for static divisions, then the ACC could easily turn into the black sheep of the family. Depending on how things play out, it is possible the ACC could decide to switch to static divisions for a number of different reasons besides conforming to the other 3 power conferences.
