You keep talking about Louisville rivals. That's the rival.
I understand that Louisville had some rivals in the Metro Conference that followed to C-USA, but they are not too excited about continuing them. They chose to schedule long term rival games with Kentucky instead in most sports, and in basketball with Kentucky and Indiana. They did not with Cincinnati or with Memphis.
When I went to UVA in the early 80s, Kentucky would not play Louisville in anything. Louisville has come a long way to get UK to actually now consider this a rivalry. When Cincinnati gets Ohio State to schedule a decade long home-home football and basketball rivalry series with Cincinnati, then they would bring value to an ACC Network for those games. Same with Memphis and the Tennessee Volunteers. I don't want the ACC to take Louisville back to old mid-major rivals. No need. I would like a semi-annual Cincinnati-Ohio State football game on the ACC Network. Then we should consider Cincinnati.
