I thought that was the case which could make discussions interesting

if the Big Ten and Pac-12 decide to view Notre Dame as an "ACC school" for scheduling purposes. At least I could see the Big Ten and Pac-12 schools, who already have Notre Dame scheduled for a future series, object to the idea that their OOC schedule is already predetermined in years when they play Notre Dame, 1 ACC team, and 1 Big Ten team. It would basically be a similar argument the ACC schools, who have an annual OOC game against their SEC rival, make whenever the ACC talks about increasing the conference schedule to 9 or 10 games when factoring in the required OOC game against Notre Dame. It could even be a reason why those schools may want Notre Dame to be apart of the discussions even though Notre Dame is officially an Independent in football.
