The Big Ten may not really care about the potential additional money

because it is already rolling in it. While the ACC and Pac-12 maybe the ones that truly care about the additional money. If the Pac-12 opts to remain with 9 conference games because the 4 CA schools have 2 protected cross-division games so they can continue playing each other every year, then the Pac-12 schools who have Notre Dame already scheduled will take the same position as the ACC schools with SEC rivalries. I know the Pac-12 is talking about going back to 8 conference games, but that vote may depend on whether the 4 CA schools are willing to give up playing each other every year or not.
