Why? Because you are wrapped around the axle of playoff models

whose only purpose is to re-up the CFP w/o regard for any possible restructure. What is the point of gaming out the pros and cons of various combinations of automatic and at large bids; none of which may make any sense after August; e.g., what "two groups"? The terms P5 and G5, born out of football post-season considerations, could very well vanish. Other than jargon, they have no other significance in the current D1 of the NCAA.

The Transformation Committee, which holds almost all of the cards, has leaked zilch. But Transformation Co-chair Sankey's shill is out there pushing Clemson and FSU to the SEC sooner than later. If you want to speculate, consider the reasons for doing that.
