Those complexities are what the Transformation Committee is dealing with

They have a very broad membership (https://www.ncaa.org/news/2021/10/28/general-division-i-board-of-directors-announces-transformation-committee-roster.aspx).

I don't see any CFP revisions until this group is done; but it is easy to see why ESPN keeps pressing; 14 of the 21 members aren't beholding to them and six members are from the Alliance schools. When these folks are done, then it's possible the CFP discussions will resume but we should have a good idea at that point what will make sense.

I don't think the Transformation group will kick the can down the road and I don't think there will be anything to go to court over. They are all PNP's and collections of PNP's; they have enormous flexibility in governance.

Title IX is a non-factor in the discussions; it stands regardless as it applies to a sex discrimination at the individual member level and every member that gets fed $ (they all do) has to comply.
